About your Teacher

When I started practising yoga about 10 years ago, I was looking for stress relief. Back then I did not have a clue that yoga would change my existence so thoroughly: yoga brings me relaxation, peace and happiness and has added a lot of value to my life.

In my enthusiasm I often try to convince other people to start practising as well, which sometimes worked. The best way to convince them to start practising is of course to teach classes myself.
In March 2006 I took my backpack and went to India to follow a Yoga teacher training at the Yoga Vidya Gurukul school close to the small town of Nasik.

At the beginning of our training they asked me why I wanted to become a yoga teacher. My answer to that was: “I want to share the joy, relaxation and happiness I found in yoga with others”.
Following a yoga training in the country of its origin is a unique experience. We learned a lot about asanas, pranayama, meditation and the yoga philosophy. The surroundings of the Ashram in rural India helped a lot to find peace and quiet. Go and have a look at the page with my experiences in the Ashram.

By teaching yoga classes I hope to share some peace and happiness with my students and I hope I can make a difference in the daily hassle of their busy lives.

The classes are open for everybody. People with serious physical problems (handicaps, recent surgery or rehabilitation after accidents) can always contact me for private lessons. Private lessons are also possible if the timing of the group classes is not convenient for you. pranayoga@skynet.be or 0479 95 55 24.

I am looking forward to meeting you in my classes.
